IGS Indian Chapter Session

The case studies have applications in high embankments, reinforced soil walls, embankment over landfill slurry, canals distressed due to presence of swelling soils etc. In all these applications the common chord is the various ground improvement techniques adopted by using geogrids, geocells and reinforced soil systems for the fulfillment of the structural and sustainable performance under varying conditions. This session deliberates how simple geotechnical and geosynthetic concepts and products have been successfully implemented under different conditions, over last two decades in India.
